Cam whoring - red on green series Cam whoring – red on green series – on Mar 10, 2013 @ 04:57Camwhoring a few days prior to going on extensive trips around the Philippines. Sadly these are business trips, but I made sure to squeeze in a few side trips and discovered some interesting places. One of these is the Bottle Museum in Moalboal, Cebu…see the article here. I also discovered a community fitness program that starts at 5AM in Isabela, Cagayan, where I couldn’t help but participate in aerobics in the rice fields at sunrise.

Iligan nuts are soooo tiny!!! Iligan nuts are soooo tiny!!! – PIlmico Foods Inc on Mar 11, 2013 @ 04:08Iligan is a major city located in the province of Lanao del Norte, some 800kms to the Southeast of Metro Manila in the Philippines. Most of my time was spent conducting training and consulting so I had to squeeze in my adventures as early as 5AM and after 5PM. Such a pity since the location is just along the coastal line of crystal clear waters of the Pacific Ocean. My new found obsession- running, starts off my day with a 5k precarious run along the highway, with no footpath and 10-wheeler trucks coming from nearby cement and food plants. At night its usually experiencing the local night life, drinking Durian shake or the local booze and street food. One of my favorites from this province is their nuts. They are very tiny, just the size of a pea, but pack full flavor in every little piece. Whoever said size is everything never experienced the Iliganon’s nuts!

Dinner in Tropika, Davao is simply delicious. Took long to prepare but worth the wait. Dinner in Tropika, Davao is simply delicious. Took long to prepare but worth the wait. – Hotel Tropika on Mar 13, 2013 @ 14:36Arriving in Davao after a 3-hour delay in our flight from Cagayan de Oro and being squeezed into a crowded airport, we deserved a hearty dinner. Luckily the place I stayed at had some of the most exquisitely prepared food. Pigged out at dinner to set the tone of the next 2 days of grueling training sessions.

What’s your business trip side trip like?
